Today CS Peter Munya represented the President, during the International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (ICIPE)’s 50th Anniversary Celebration at it’s Headquarters in Nairobi.
In his speech which he read virtually, the President commended ICIPE for its excellent programme of capacity building that has trained a large number of scientists and for being a contributor to science and innovation in the continent.
The President urged ICIPE to strengthen collaboration in research to be undertaken through close and effective partnerships with national, regional and international organisations.
He guaranteed government’s full support to ICIPE as they deliver on their mandate as he launched ICIPE‘s Vision and Strategy 2021-2025. CS was joined by PS Livestock Harry Kimtai and Dr. Esther Kimani.
