Take advantage of Digital Literacy Program

Livestock PS Dr, Andrew Tuimur addressing Majiwa primary school community in Bondo, Siaya County after launching the Digital Lieracy ProgramThe Principal Secretary, State Department of Livestock Dr. Andrew Tuimur on October 21, 2016 challenged innovators and investors to take advantage of the newly introduced Digital Literacy Program to establish Service Centres to support the Program. This he said will create employment in the value chain.

The PS was launching the Digital Literacy Program (DLP) in Majiwa primary school in Bondo, Siaya County. The DLP is a national flagship program aimed at introducing digital learning to all the 32,000 primary schools in the country. It will prepare children for the 21st century skills needed in today’s globally competitive environment.

Under the programme, all class one pupils in the country will have been supplied with the learning devices by the end of this year.
