Dr. Julius Kiptarus presents grant cheques on behalf of PS SDL Harry Kimtai, to groups of dairy farming who participated in SDCP in Uasin Gishu County.

Dr. Julius Kiptarus, Director Livestock Production yesterday presented grant cheques, on behalf of PS SDL Harry Kimtai, to groups of dairy farming who participated in SDCP, in Uasin Gishu County.

The groups which benefited with cheques are Ainabkoi Progressive Dairy Farmers and Plateau Lelit Dairy Farmers, both from Ainabkoi Sub County. The Modairy Self help group from Kapseret Sub-County also benefited with a grant of a cheque, having been rewarded before with a cooler under installation for use.

So far the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and fisheries, through GOK has spent nearly 2.5 billion, to develop and equip dairy farmers. The Small Dairy Commercialization Programme SDCP, which exits its services this month, worked tirelessly for the work well done. Director Kiptarus was accompanied by SDCP coordinator, Dr. Moses Kembe, NSC members and senior officers from the Uasin Gishu County.
